MVP Jackson Campbell

Jackson Campbell finished a fine career with the SWFL organization as the MVP – Pitcher throwing a CG shutout in the Championship game of the PG Freedom Classic. We wish Jackson the best as he gets ready for his next chapter at the U of the Cumberlands this fall. Good luck Jackson!

Due to inclement weather, we have secured an indoor facility for today’s (6/6/20) workout. 

We will be using:

The new schedule will be as follows: Please check in 15 minutes prior.
12pm- Outfielder’s Hitting 
1pm- Middle Infielder Hitting 
2pm- Catcher and Corner Infielder Hitting
3pm- Pitcher Bullpens
We are optimistic that there is an area outside of the facility that is suitable for running the 60. Bring turf shoes.
You will still receive all hitting metrics and video as well as all pitching metrics and video.

SWFL/PBR minicamp June 6-7, 2020 – Fort Myers, FL

Southwest Florida Baseball is proud to announce a cooperative effort with Prep Baseball Report to bring the first video data analytics to the area.

Southwest Florida Baseball – SWFL Baseball, nationally recognized and ranked, and Prep Baseball Report, one of the leading amateur scouting service around the country, have combined to present the SWFL/PBR minicamp for all High School aged baseball players.

Technology, data analysis and a premium profile will be available for you and college coaches. Prep Baseball Report has partnered with global leaders in baseball technology and analysis to deliver an unparalleled in-event and post event experience. All players will receive actionable data from their event performance captured by TrackMan, Blast Motion and will have access to the Driveline TRAQ and EDGE systems. Players will also receive an edited video of performance hosted in their PBR profile, a scouting report, verified statistics and post event content.

Following the SWFL/PBR minicamp, players will receive access to their advanced ball tracking and swing mechanics through the TrackMan and Blast Connect apps and a Player Development Snapshot utilizing the data collected. The personalized snapshot will be delivered through Driveline’s in-house software. All these metrics will be in your PBR profile to assist in the recruiting process.

The SWFL/PBR minicamp will be a very good baseball experience and the exposure will be outstanding. Over 900 college coaches and pro scouts subscribe to the Prep Baseball Report services. College coaches will be looking for any data to give them an advantage in the recruiting process and this minicamp will assist in the process. The minicamp is open to all players who want to improve their recruiting profile.

Cost: $250 per individual, $2,000 per team, maximum 15 players, dual position $325.

What’s included: Minicamp consists of 60-yard dash, defensive segment and BP and aforementioned data analysis. 1 position per player unless registered for dual position.

SWFL Baseball Holding 2 More Tryouts for Summer 2020

SWFL Baseball is a nationally recognized travel baseball program. The mission of SWFL Baseball is to promote baseball, encourage team concepts and assist baseball players with entrance into college. Not all players that try – out will make a team and if they do make a team, players are not guaranteed a college baseball experience. SWFL baseball does a very good job of placing its players but players must work to improve their game to be noticed by college recruiters.

Southwest Florida Baseball – SWFL Baseball – will be holding two different 1 day try – outs.

All Tryouts are temporarily suspended. Please watch for updated tryout information.

 Sunday March 29th, 10:00 am, at McKeel Academy of Technology1810 West Parker Street,  Lakeland, FL  33815.       OR

Sunday May 3rd, 1:00 pm, at Dunnellon High School: 10055 SW 180th Avenue Rd, Dunnellon, FL 34432

The try – out is for 2021-23 graduates. The try – out will consist of stretching, 60 – yard dash, BP and I/O. Pitchers will throw a light bullpen.

We encourage all players that want to improve themselves and would like to be a part of a nationally ranked travel baseball program to be at Mckeel Academy 10am March 29 or Dunnellon HS 1pm May 3rd.

  • $20 registration fee (cash or check) bring day of.
  • Graduation years 2021 – 2023.

The SWFL Collegiate Showcase & Summer Tryouts – Jan 12, 2020

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

SWFL Baseball will be holding their SWFL Collegiate Clinic and 2020 summer try – outs on January 12 at Bishop Verot HS in Ft. Myers. 5-7 College Coaches will be instructing and recruiting this Clinic. The Clinic and try – outs are open to all players in the 2020 – 2023 classes.

SWFL Baseball is a Nationally renowned and ranked travel baseball program with hundreds of players that have moved onto the Collegiate and Professional ranks. The 2020 SWFL Nation team has 13 commitments that will move onto 4 year and 2 year schools to continue their academic and athletic careers. Florida Gulf Coast U, U South Florida, Samford U, Flagler College, Air Force, and numerous 2 years schools have SWFL commitments. The SWFL coaches are dedicated to assisting good players find a college or professional fit for their players.

The SWFL Collegiate Clinic is an opportunity to be in front of and interact with college coaches and be seen by the SWFL staff for the 2020 summer travel season. It’s a great opportunity to be a part of a winning program that will develop you as a player and person.

No walk ups permitted. All players must be registered by January 11th at noon.

SWFL Showcase- Oct 28 – at FGCU

The Annual SWFL fall Showcase – October 28th at Swanson stadium on the FGCU campus.

The SWFL Showcase features the top High School talent in the area and a few select top performers from around the state. The SWFL Showcase originated in 1995 and has been one of the top Showcases in the state of Florida ever since. Many players have signed scholarships and been noticed by ML Baseball. A long list of Major League stars played in the SWFL Showcase including: Prince Fielder, Jimmy Miller, Mike Zunino, Scooter Gennett, Casey Coleman and Dan Vogelbach to name a few, have all been a part of the SWFL Showcase.

This year’s event will move back to Florida Gulf Coast U and beautiful Swanson Stadium. The event will kick off with the 60-yard dash at 4pm. Here is the Showcase itinerary:

SWFL Baseball announces 2019 Fall try-outs and Showcase

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

Southwest Florida Baseball – SWFL Baseball, will be doing their annual Collegiate Clinic and fall tryouts on Saturday August 17th at the Player Development Complex in Ft. Myers, FL. The Collegiate Clinic is open to all returning and prospective new players for the fall season. The Collegiate Clinic will also serve as a tryout and evaluation for all players who want to participate during the 2019 fall travel season. College Coaches will provide instruction on the defensive and mechanical movements of baseball.

ALL Players need to register by Friday August 16th at 5 pm, so we have all information for the  Coaches. Payments can be made online or by cash or check when you arrive. Please make checks payable to SWFL Baseball. To register and pay on line,  click on the RED link below.

The SWFL summer try-outs will be the last opportunity for players to be eligible to play in the nationally ranked and highly respected travel baseball organization. Players that are already listed on a roster do not have to attend. Rosters are near capacity for each of the 2020-2023 teams and have limited spots available for each age level.
