Southwest Florida Baseball 2024 Bill Skarbek Fall Invitational

2024 SWFL Invitational Schedule

The Southwest Florida Baseball Invitational is a round robin event with games being played on Saturday and Sunday, September 7-8. This event will feature travel teams and High School teams in the 2025 – 2028 age groups. Each team will play 3 games. The event will be held at Terry Park in Fort Myers, FL.

 

September 7-8 – Southwest Florida Invitational

Where: Terry Park – 3410 Palm Beach BL. Fort Myers, FL 33916

Game times: 8:30am, 10:45 and 1pm.

Team fee/Games: $750, 3 game guarantee. – 1 Dozen Baseballs

Payment: Please make check payable Southwest Florida Baseball and remit payment to: Southwest Florida Baseball 2202 Treehaven Circle Ft. Myers, FL 33907 or you can pay by Venmo or Paypal.

Daily admission: $10 – 12 under are free.

Invitational game guidelines:

  • Wood bats only, 7 inning games, 2-hour time limit, no new inning after 2 hours.
  • 10 run rule after 6 innings unless agreed upon by both coaches for less innings.
  • Relaxed High School substitution rules, the object is to play. No line-ups will be exchanged.
  • Please bring 1 dozen new baseballs, 4 per game.

SWFL BASEBALL & DIAMOND CODE ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP, ENTER FALL AS COLORADO ROCKIES SCOUT TEAM

July 2024 (FLORIDA) – Southwest Florida Baseball (SWFL) and Diamond Code Baseball have entered an agreement that will see the two organizations enter a joint-partnership as the Colorado Rockies Scout team, creating a coast-to-coast operation that is designed to provide elite level players an industry leading platform for those looking to advance their playing careers with collegiate and professional opportunities.

Colorado Rockies Scout Team will take the field against Florida’s top JUCO programs and the best from around the country in Perfect Game’s WWBA National Championship in Jupiter (FL), set to begin on October 10. The WWBA is the largest recruited event of the year, with hundreds of scouts in attendance representing MLB organizations and colleges across the nation.

SWFL Baseball and Diamond Code Baseball are set to host the Colorado Rockies Scout Team’s tryout and collegiate camp on August 10 in Fort Myers for players interested in joining the organization. This event will have 17+ colleges in attendance, including University of Florida, UCF, FGCU, FIU, USF, Florida Southern, Nova Southeastern, Palm Beach Atlantic, Lynn University, FSW, Pasco Hernando, Polk State, South Florida State, St. Petersburg College, Webber International, New College of Florida, and University of Fort Lauderdale. Players will participate in a pro-style workout, plus get an exclusive opportunity to work with the college coaches in attendance.

Pitchers will need to attend the morning session and once we get done with the College Pitching talk, you will be released and report to the indoor facility at 1:30. See information below.

Sign in starts at 8:15 AM, Cost: $225

High School years 2025-2028

Camp cost includes: 60-yard dash, Defensive segment with college coaches teaching, BP, I/O, Pitcher/Catcher Showcase.

SWFL Baseball has over 50 former players who have gone onto play in the Major Leagues and has assisted hundreds of players into colleges throughout the country!

About SWFL Baseball – SWFL Baseball, based out of Fort Myers since 1993, has been home to 22 MLB players and over 81 professional players in total throughout its history. In 2023, SWFL had 7 alumni active on MLB rosters. SWFL has been on the forefront of opportunities for high school players; not only serving as hosts for tournament schedules, but baseball liaisons through various annual youth clinics and collegiate showcases. In 2024, SWFL had 4 alumni selected in the MLB Draft.

About Diamond Code Baseball – Diamond Code Baseball, founded in 2022, began serving the Treasure Coast and Palm Beaches as a home for players looking for development, opportunity, and growth. Since then, over 30 players have signed to play collegiate baseball. Last summer, Diamond Code earned Perfect Game recognition, finishing 11th ranked in the state of Florida and 56th nationally.

2018 SWFL FALL HS SHOWCASE – Sept 25, 2018

The SWFL Showcase will enter its 25th year as the premier Showcase event for Southwest Florida players. The SWFL Showcase has had numerous ML players play in the event and this year looks even better than ever with 14 players already committed to play baseball in college attending.
The Showcase will start at 4pm with the 60 yard dash and move forward with BP, I/O and a 6:10 game time start. The schedule of events and rosters are listed below. Come out to beautiful Swanson stadium on the FGCU campus and enjoy the future stars of the game.
